on the premises of The Barrington Bridge Club, LACC offers a variety of
classes and tournaments (with various time controls) every weekend!
The
first step towards improving your chess is to attend lectures by Masters of the
game (LACC has weekly lectures on various areas of the Royal Game!

This weekly class discusses
one topic each month in great depth (by USCF Life Senior Master Mick Bighamian).
This
is an ideal class for players who are already familiar with piece movements and
basic knowledge of Opening, Middle game, and Endgame; although it is open for
all LACC members. 1 year of attending this class will empower you to play chess
at a very respectable and competitive level.
